Getting ready for Pokemon Heart & Soul v2.0
Use the compatible Pokemon Emerald ROM
Bring your own legally obtained .gba file when the patch is available. The exact v2.0-compatible Emerald revision will be listed here alongside the patch.
Choose it in the browser patcher
Your ROM is read locally on your device. It is not uploaded to heartsoulgame.com.
Apply the v2.0 patch
The Heart & Soul v2.0 patch will be selected automatically, so you will not need to hunt for a separate file.
Save the new .gba
The patched game is saved to your device. Keep your original Emerald ROM unchanged and begin v2.0 with a fresh save.
No need to guess the ROM or patch file
The final patch and the matching Pokemon Emerald requirement will be listed here together. Until those details are added, there is nothing you need to select or download.
Can I move my old save over?
No. Pre-v2.0 saves are not compatible with v2.0. Keep a backup of your older save if you want to return to that version later.
